On my fifth birthday, I knew exactly what I wanted to do for the rest of my life. I longed to be on stage in front of hundreds, maybe even thousands of people, and experience the excitement of seeing a huge crowd belting out lyrics along with me. I loved thinking about the fame and fortune that would come with the success of being a singer.
Now I realize that it would take a lot of hard work and maybe a little luck to make my dream a reality. I have also established that I no longer want to become a singer because of the wealth and popularity that it would give me. I want to be on stage to share my love of music with others all around the world. Singing is my passion and it gives me the greatest thrill when I get to hold a microphone in my hand. When I sing all my problems disappear, and I am engulfed in the words of the song. I cannot imagine getting paid for something that has been a dream of mine for so long.
In addition to getting paid for what I love to do, becoming a well-known singer would be the ultimate dream job for me because of all the new people I would get to meet. Many singers go on tour and travel the country and meet numerous different people from all walks of life. I would love to do this and have the opportunity to get to know all kinds of people and help them with any financial struggles they may have. It would be great to be able to start a new foundation to assist parents of young children who do not have a lot of money to send their child to school. Sharing my success with other people from all over would be one of the greatest perks of singing for a living.
Many of the ideas I had when I was a little girl of becoming a famous singer have changed, but my love for music has remained the same. There is nothing that makes me happier than singing in front of a large crowd and sharing my talent with them. It would be amazing to meet people from all over the world and help some of them in the troubles they may encounter throughout their life. Even if my dreams do not come true immediately, I know that nothing in life comes easy, and I am prepared to experience numerous trials before I decide it is too late to become a singer.

SAVING THE EARTH ONE HYBRID AT A TIME
Waking up to smell the fresh air almost seems surreal in today’s polluted world. Opening your front door to let the sunlight in can be very hazardous, because behind those sunrays lurks gases that can be damaging to the surrounding environment and also to one’s health. Gases such as carbon monoxide, carbon dioxide, sulfur oxides and nitrogen oxide are some of the many pollutants that come from our vehicles. It is frightening to know that our main mode of transportation is damaging our Earth, and some may wonder if there is a way to get around without polluting the environment.
For those with the hope of having a cleaner environment there is an answer, Hybrid vehicles. Growing in popularity, the hybrid vehicle has proven effective in the preservation of our environment. Imagine cruising in a convertible down a beachside roadway on a beautiful 95-degree day, as the vibrant sunshine casts its rays upon the road ahead of you. As you glance at the traffic ahead, you see tiny fumes rising from the asphalt beneath you. The fumes rising are a result of the gases that a non-hybrid automobile exhales when it needs to cool off. Within those fumes lies respiratory illnesses and carbon dioxide, which causes global warming. These problems are gradually damaging the surrounding environment that we refer to as home.
Unlike regular gas combustion vehicles, the hybrid vehicle lacks the ability to cause major deterioration to the environment because its engine consists of two alternate features: it can alternate from a gas combustion engine to an electric engine. With recent spikes in gas prices, a gas-electric hybrid car sounds like a good idea when it comes to saving money. Just imagine cruising down a busy highway with a small amount of gas left in your tank, all of a sudden you are stuck in traffic caused by a four-car pile up. Growing anxious to get out traffic so that you can go to the gas station to fill up your gas tank, you realize that your car is a hybrid car. Relieved, you switch the engine from gas to electric and continue on your way. This certainly sounds like a stress-free situation and cost effective because of a simple investment into a revolutionary vehicle.
Hybrid vehicles are excellent for ones that recently learned how to drive and want a first car. Averaging 45 miles per gallon in the city and 48 miles per gallon on the highway, this vehicle is ideal for anyone who needs a car, has a car or wants a car. Next time that you get into your gas-powered vehicle, take a second to meditate on this; many of the problems that plague our beautiful green Earth are caused by the things that we use daily. Hybrid vehicles do not solve the pollution problem but they do lay the foundation to a cleaner environment and a cleaner place to live. The Earth does plenty for us, is it not time for us to give back?
